AcutePet Urgent Care is seeking a Veterinary Practice Manager to help launch and lead our new Avon, Ohio hospital opening this fall.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader who enjoys building strong teams, developing hospital culture, and creating operational excellence. As Practice Manager, you'll work closely with your Managing Veterinarian to establish workflows, support employee development, and help shape the future of a brand-new hospital from the ground up.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading daily hospital operations and supporting workflow efficiencyRecruiting, hiring, onboarding, and developing team members
Partnering with the Managing Veterinarian on hospital goals and performance
Overseeing scheduling, payroll, inventory, budgeting, and reporting
Monitoring key operational and financial metrics
Supporting a positive client experience and addressing concerns as needed
Building relationships with local veterinary practices and community partners
Fostering a culture of accountability, communication, and teamwork

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of leadership experience in veterinary or healthcare management
Proven success leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams
Strong business and financial acumen, including budgeting, payroll, and reporting
Experience with scheduling, inventory management, and operational workflows
Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills
Ability to build strong relationships with employees, clients, and community partners
Commitment to fostering an inclusive, collaborative workplace
Availability for occasional evening or weekend support as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Veterinary practice management experience
Experience supporting hospital growth, recruiting, and team development
Familiarity with veterinary practice management software and operational reporting
