Company Overview

The Cardiff Animal Hospital & Wellness Center is a privately-owned small animal practice in San Diego, CA (more specifically, in the City of Encinitas, in North County San Diego). Our hospital is situated across from the Cardiff State Beach, with ocean views from our lobby and the doctor’s office.

We focus on exceptional client service and patient care, offering the best in medical diagnostics and treatment available for a high-end general practice. Exams are scheduled in 30-45 minutes appointment slots, our staff is highly trained and skilled, and we place an emphasis on year-round continuing education for all team members. We have mobile specialists (in internal medicine, radiology, surgery, and cardiology) that frequent our hospital on a weekly basis, while we maintain strong relationships with our local specialty/ER facilities.

We have digital x-ray (including digital dental x-ray), a high-quality ultrasound machine, full in-house Idexx lab equipment (including urinalysis and SNAP analyzers), a K-laser machine, a new Storz tower for endoscopy and laparoscopy, multiple 5-parameter Cardell anesthesia monitoring machines (including the ability to monitor arterial BP), a Cubex tower, and multiple standard infusion and syringe pumps. Our operating room is fully equipped to run a wide range of soft-tissue and orthopedic procedures, including a v-top heated hydraulic table, mono and bi-polar cautery, a Ligasure vessel sealing device, Bair-hugger patient warming device, and fluid warmer.

But most importantly, we have the BEST.DAMN.TEAM around! Everything listed above is nice and cool and all, but it is our people that make us special! Our team kicks butt, and we smile and laugh and have a ton of fun in the process!
