Davies Animal Hospital is owned and operated by David A. Black, DVM. Dr. Black purchased the hospital in 2010 and has been blessed by its success and growth, his loyal clients and the ability to offer 2 part-time veterinarians and 13 employees full time work. Dr. Black loves what he does and is passionate about providing the community he lives in quality care for their pets. Originally from Montana, Dr. Black and his wife, Peggy, moved to the area in 1988. They have two grown children that live in the area and a grandson. The office manager has been employed by the hospital since 1990 when Lloyd Davies, DVM built the building. Dr. Davies currently contracts with the hospital when his orthopedic services are needed. The hospital has a hardworking and very supportive staff. A separate grooming business occupies a small corner of the building making it very convenient for the clients of either business. Established in 1990 by Lloyd Davies, DVM, Davies Animal Hospital is a beautiful freestanding 5,000 sq.ft. building located in a high traffic area of Yuba City. The building sits on half of a one acre commercial parcel allowing for future expansion. The area is adjacent to big box stores like Lowe's, Sams Club, Walmart and Home Depot.
