Company History
In 1962, Dr. Lionel Brazil sold his share of the practice to Dr. Melvin Burns. Dr. Burns then proceeded to practice both large and small medicine for the next 45 years with the help of his wife, Iris Burns, in the original building built by Dr. Brazil. Mel and Iris Burns raised their children and their grandchildren in Tulare.
Dr. Carlos Rodriquez, a native of Mexico City, graduated from the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 1993. He was a resident at U.C. Davis in dairy production medicine.
Dr. Sharon Linderman, a native of southern California, graduated from Washington State in 1996 . In 2000 she moved to the Central Valley and began practicing small animal medicine.
Dr. Rodriguez and Dr. Linderman purchased Tulare Veterinary Hospital from Dr. Burns in October of 2003 allowing Dr. Burns to eventually, retire. The new owners immediately began designing a new hospital. On September 5, 2006, the new, state of the art hospital opened for small animal consultations.
