Company Overview
VIP PetCare offers comprehensive vaccines for dogs and cats, affordable vaccine packages, pet microchipping, standard blood and fecal testing, prescription flea and tick control, de-worming, and heartworm prevention at every walk-in community clinic. Many products are also available online or by phone for our existing clients. There is a state-licensed veterinarian supervising every Community Veterinary Clinic, and there is a board of full-time veterinarians that oversee all policies, protocols, and pricing for VIP PetCare services and products.
Company History
VIP PetCare was created in 1995 under the care of its two founding members, Will Santana and Ken Pecoraro.
All that they owned was a 1990 Chevy Lumina, a small business loan, and a sense of dedication to the task at hand. Their goal was very simple: provide caring, ethical and professional veterinary care, and make it accessible to all pet owners. They wanted to help create a healthy community for both pets and pet lovers from all walks of life and all income brackets.
Essential Preventative Veterinary Care
Will and Ken collaborated with a team of veterinarians to produce a business model that could cater to the needs of a large number of pets. Thousands of pets go without essential preventative veterinary care throughout their lives, and are constantly at risk for some of the most basic and easily preventable diseases. They worked to remove all barriers between these pets and the essential services that they need to stay healthy. They reached out to pet-related business owners who shared this vision and forged the first network of Community Veterinary Clinics.
Promise to Pet Lovers
Over the last 19 years, this network has grown by leaps and bounds, and has evolved significantly from its small beginnings. But Will and Ken are still there, still working with their team every day to improve and expand their services. Their primary concern is, and always has been, making good on their promise to pet lovers; to help them keep their pets happy, healthy, and safe.
In 2010 VIP PetCare took an important step in furthering its ability to care for pets and the people who love them. The first VIP PetCare Wellness Center was established in Walnut Creek, California, inside of a Pet Food Express retail store. At this location VIP PetCare staff are on-site for several days a week, and services are expanded. The staff veterinarian at each Wellness Center can perform a variety of non-surgical procedures, including full exams and testing, all without an appointment or office visit fee. Shortly after this facility opened, the company followed up with two additional Wellness Centers in Roseville, California and San Jose, California.
